Access → Audit log lists every change made in DNZ, newest first. It covers:
  • zones and records, with each record before and after the change,
  • users, roles, divisions and members,
  • forwarding, notifications, Cloudflare and replication,
  • filtering lists, rules and client networks,
  • proxies, certificates and API tokens,
  • sign-ins, including failed ones and lockouts (user.login_failed, user.login_locked).
Passwords and secrets are never logged. Entries are kept for 365 days.

Who sees what

  • Superadmins see every division’s entries.
  • Other users see the divisions where they have audit.read (Owners do by default).

Who made a change

Bulk record changes are written as one record.bulk entry holding every record before and after. The IP address is the client’s. Behind a reverse proxy, set DNZ_TRUSTED_PROXIES, or every entry shows the proxy’s address. See HTTPS and reverse proxies.
